Mission
The mission of the Take Charge of Your Life Partnership is to educate, support and empower all people to deal with end-of-life issues through an innovative network of consumers, professionals, community organizations and corporations.
Goals
1. We will strive to raise public awareness and educate all regarding end-of-life issues. We will strive to meet and exceed the community's need for a network that listens to them and understands their needs, becomes their voice in the community (advocacy), and links them to key resources that can answer their questions.
2. We will achieve our financial goal of a balanced operating budget. We will seek funding through numerous sources: dues, grants, “angel” investors, seed money, special events, fee-based services and donations.
3. We will identify partners who can help us gain access to our communities, locate cutting edge resources, and join with experts in the field. We will align ourselves with organizations and individuals with complementary missions.
4. We will continue to explore emerging trends that allow us opportunities to introduce and discuss end-of-life issues within the community and overcome the general public's resistance and aversion to the subject of death and dying.
5. We will monitor government policies and regulations associated with end-of-life issues so that we may better educate our communities.
6. We will capitalize on our competitive advantages of being a nonbiased, multicultural partnership that offers a wide scope of resources that are results oriented.
7. We will promote a forward-thinking culture that adopts a holistic philosophy, promotes inclusiveness, and celebrates diversity, collaboration, and advocacy.
8. We will create a brand image in the marketplace for the Take Charge of Your Life Partnership as the “compassionate, comprehensive connection to end-of-life issues.”
9. We will identify and offer tools to empower consumers to take action on their own terms.
